Peter Jackson to direct movie version of The Lovely Bones (estimated release - 2007)

ohmygosh. I actually have goosebumps right now just thinking about that. Peter Jackson is THE perfect director to create a movie version of The Lovely Bones. I remember being disappointed with the movie version of White Oleander (another book I utterly adore); I desperately hope the same thing doesn't happen with this one. Oh. I'm nearly crying, how silly is that? I just think it's the most perfect pairing.

&speaking of beautiful things, I got my Hannah Fury cds today.. I ordered all 4 of them and nearly squealed when I got home from work and saw the box there, with her handwriting on it and pretty address label. I'm so excited to listen to them, I've been craving her albums since briarspell uploaded a few songs for me ♥ Her music gets into my veins.

I was kind of let down by White Oleander too. Although I have to say, I think they chose the perfect person to play Astrid.

I agree. Alison Lohmann is just beautiful.

Oh my!!! The Lovely Bones was such a beautiful book. I can't quite imagine it on screen, but I'm glad Jackson's nabbed it. (I'm just remembering how magically he managed to film another story I would've thought probably unfilmable with Heavenly Creatures...) Yep, it *is* a perfect pairing :)

Yes, I think that if anyone can create a beautiful movie out of The Lovely Bones, then Peter Jackson would be it.

I remember sort of liking Heavenly Creatures... it was very strange I suppose. He did an excellent job of it though.

I must read white oleander. I bought the DVD after my friend recommended it to me, but I know the book has to be much better.

I admire his filmmaking skills and I'm positive they can do it justice somehow. I just finished reading Sebold's memoir Lucky. Talk about a rivetting read.

I've only read the first chapter of it... I need to get it from the library again.

I met Peter Jackson once. He was really funny, one of those people you just want to hug. He's so down to earth. I'm excited about this.
I'm excited about Narnia too. I saw the previews and got goosebumps. Not that that has anything to do with Peter Jackson.

*beams* you are seriously my hero for uploading her songs in the first place. I probably wouldn't have ordered them all if I didn't know that I was going to like it... but I adore her music, so, so much <3
