summer days, drifting away

Today was a quiet day at work; this sudden onset of heat had everyone either rushing to the beach, or at home with the airconditioner. Funny how we've been longing for summer all through December, but the moment warm weather hits, we all start reminiscing about cooler days. Nonetheless, work was a non-event this afternoon. Tomorrow I'm getting trained in Layby, and it's safe to say that I'm more than a little nervous about this. After being stuck in the same department for over 2 years, it's probably no surprise that I'm slightly aprehensive about stepping into a new territory. Still, I definitely need a change.

Tomorrow night we're going out for dinner for a goodbye thing for one of the girl's who's leaving. As a rule I hate goodbyes, but unlike the last one, at least I know there'll be no tears. There's that weakness thing again. But I'm going in with Gayle and Nat, so it's bound to be a fun night.
