he met Marmalade down in old Moulin Rouge...

Naturally after watching "Moulin Rouge" last night with Kristy, I had to spend what time I had in my car today driving to and from work, listening to the sountrack. It's one of the few movie soundtracks I actually like; most of the time I find that soundtracks consist of instrumental sound bites barely even featured in the film. I remember when Moulin Rouge first came out, and how at all our Noises Off rehearsals, some of us would drive [the guys] crazy by singing every word of "The Elephant Love Medley" amongst other songs. Oh, the memories. I admire Baz Luhrmann terribly though.

Work today was quiet; I trained Kate R. on registers [as to not be confused with the Kate whom I'm moving out with], and ran after a shoplifter in the afternoon, which was... interesting. We didn't get him, but it wasn't for lack of trying. And at any rate, that livened up the afternoon. There's only one more day of 2001, and naturally, I'll be spending it... working. But after that: some sort of [small] solace. I'm looking forward to some quieter times.
