we wish you a merry christmas

After all my whinging about how commercialised and materialistic Christmas has become, I am now going to do the obvious thing: and make a list of what I got ;)

- purple + silver faery wings!!!!!!!!!

- a faery calander

- videos: Shrek, Moulin Rouge, and Charlie's Angels

- Smashing Pumpkins Greatest Hits CD

- seashell writing paper

- a rainbow belt with a strawberry buckle

- lipgloss, body lotions, and a fancy hair treatment pack

- Christmas tree decorations with my name on them

- summer pjs

- and cards, lots of wonderful Christmas cards :)

Christmas day was quite lovely. We went to my mum's brother's place for lunch, with my little cousins + family, it was really nice. There's something about spending Christmas day with little kids that just brings the magic of Christmas back; perhaps their belief in Santa Claus and excitement over presents is contagious. Late in the afternoon, we went over to my dad's side of the family, his brother. Our families used to be really close (+ my cousin Nicole was my best friend when we were younger), but time + age can pull people apart. Still, having dinner there, with their family and the rest of dad's side, was lovely. Chaos, noisy, people, alcohol, it was just... Christmasy. Later that night, I went to Charlotte's place, to see her + Stewie, and Andrew + Lexy came over as well (love you guys!); it was a perfect ending to a wonderful Christmas day :)

I hope everyone else had a terrific Christmas! (+ I'm sorry if I woke you up with my SMS's early in the morning! I was a little excited!)
