butterfly girl : where she goes when she

just for the record...

We decided to name our new puppy Jedi :)

He really is the cutest thing. And I'm not even an animal person. But I can't help but be smitten over this little one.
I'm trying to convince mum to let him sleep in my room tonight. Even though he'll wake me up for sure.

I wonder what dogs think? I'd love to know.

oh books & reading love

I've decided that instead of buying any more books between now and September (except for the new Harry Potter, of course -- 2 weeks, 2 weeks!), before I leave I'm going to order a whole lot of books from Amazon UK and have them sent to alex_faerie's place so that they'll be waiting for me when I arrive in London. The best part about it is free shipping! Which will be quite a novelty, really; ordering from Amazon here in Australia is like $10 per item just in shipping costs. Anyway, that means I don't have to pack any books to take over with me (since I only have 20kg weight limit to pack a year's worth of clothing & essentials - eek!) and books are always a wonderful comfort when one is lonely and uncertain.

I started compiling my wishlist of books I'll eventually order (or sift through and order some of at least); please feel free to recommend others that you think will suit my tastes. My favourite books are Mists of Avalon (Marion Zimmer Bradley) and Wasted (Marya Hornbacher) and The Lovely Bones (Alice Sebold) and The Virgin Suicides (Jeffrey Eugenides) and anything by Francesca Lia Block... just to give you an idea of what I'm into.

I've taken heed of suggestions from my crazy girl books post from a few weeks ago too ♥

&also. Which is better: AOL music or Yahoo music? Or other...?

I am realising that having broadband is wonderful for so much for than just downloading. Oh hello, fast connection. How did I survive without you?
