and really, all the hard work from the last month or so working in retail has been worth it, especially as i didn't even know if i would actually make it to Christmas day or not. but Christmas this year really has been a good one. my Christmas time seemed to start on monday night when Russell and i drove up to loberthal to see the lights (always a favourite tradition), followed by christmas eve spent with my dad's side of the family, which has been rare in the last decade, really. today was with my mum's side of the family, eating a delicious lunch, and right now, is just relaxing. really no different from any other year, but still lovely in it's own way.
and i feel spoiled, because i got the digital camera i wanted from my parents[!!], and a silver watch from Russell, and i have to laugh because although he hasn't opened his present from me yet, it's safe to say that i got him the same thing.... oh irony! yes, we think too much alike at times, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. add that with all the other little things i got from relatives, friends, etc, and i definitely have nothing to complain about in the presents department. hello, materialism. ahhh.
i need to figure out how to transfer photos from my camera to the computer. but until that point, i hope everyone else is having a wonderful christmas also. peace, love, and happiness to all!
