specific songs:
Enya, carribbean blue, enigma, gravity of love, sarah brightman, la luna

though you probably know all them, these are my favorite songs. I didn't list any tori cause i know you know them, plus the list would be eternities long.

"Destiny" by Zero 7. (Anything by Zero 7 is great driving music.)
"All the Things She Said" by Tatu.
Anything Elliot Smith, Norah Jones, or Maroon 5.
Anything from the 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots' album by the Flaming Lips.

I hope you have a safe drive, m'dear!

Well, in my opinion, Phanton Planet's "Californa" is the ultimate U.S. road trip song, but it might just work across the ocean as well. Also! "Jung at Heart" by Master Cylinder (or Pete DuCharme, maybe?) is awesome when it's raining. :) Good luck!

I think Tori Amos' "Scarlet's Walk" is an ultimate driving/road-trip CD. Since that is what it is... same with Tori's "Under the Pink".. for more fast, up-tempo party kind of road-trip music, Kylie Minogue. :D

I always listen to The Get Up Kids but for some reason, I can only listen to it in the car. Just good keep-you-awake music. Music off the Snatch soundtrack. Anything The Donnas.

I'll probably think of more later, but for now....

Rusted Root is a fabulous road trip band. Their cd When I Woke is full of fabulous tunes. Let me know if you want more specific suggestions as far as songs.

Bjork is, of course, wonderful. I think songs on Debut and Post would make especially good road trip music...a little bouncier than Homogenic.

Umm umm ummmm...Belle and Sebastian! They rock my socks.

Like I said, more later!! <3

a whole David Lane cd: Put Me In A Taxi - if you're feeling nostalgic, or Tim Rogers - What Rhymes With Cars And Girls. If you just want to belt down the highway, play Red Blood Cells, The White Stripes, or The Datsuns newish one.
