i have quite a few hundred emails there, and i think my computer is about to have a crash, anytime soon. so i'm trying to back up everything of importance while i can, but i have no idea how to back up the outlook emails :(
never mind. dad figured it out, and we backed up everything to my dad's computer.
on own drive
- go windows/ application data/ identities/ [select identity]/ microsoft/
- copy entire outlook express folder
- take across network (or burn onto cd or save onto disk if there is no network!) and save (ie, onto hard-drive of second computer or burn onto cd)
- emails & folders will then be saved, and the outlook express folder just needs to be placed back into microsoft folder to be restored -- either back on original computer, or on second computer to view in outlook express.
apologies if this made no sense to anyone else, but it was for my own reference when it comes to backing up again in the future. thank goodness all my years of saved emails will be safe!
