paris, cambridge and "love actually"

{this entry has been written with the assistance of miss alex_faerie ♥}

x. we stayed in Montmarte (_happy_phantom!), about 5 minutes walk from the Moulin Rouge (although it took an hour to walk there because we went much too far in the other direction...) and saw a fabulous graveyard beneath a bridge and full moon that echoed with the spirits of someone's loved ones...

x. Parisian drivers are (grumpy sods, says alex_faerie utterly insane, and we have never heard so many horns blare in a day or seen so much chaos and haphazard driving without an accident. thank goodness we were on a bus; at least we were bigger than everything else on the roads ;)

x. i went to EuroDisney and it was fabulous; also i figured out the Metro system all by myself and got my entrance tickets and everything else using very rough french; i couldn't help but be a bit proud of myself for being able to get around in a completely foreign country on my own.

x. we watched Shrek in french :D and saw Charlize Theron as a whore in some strange film that we think had to do with cigarettes. it was quite amusing to watch french tv :D

x. we sightsaw (? is that even a word?) but goodness it was freezing and there were huge queues everywhere so we didn't get to climb the eiffel tower or explore the louvre because we didn't have enough time; but we did get to go through la pyramides, the entrance to the louvre that is described so vividly in the da vinci code. one day we will come back when there is more time to explore properly.

x. Paris by night is amazing (but there's never enough time, is there?)

x. we both got gothic dresses from h&m, although alex_faerie got hers in Paris and i got mine in Cambridge ;)

x. speaking of Cambridge, we had quite the fun shopping day there yesterday; alex claims i brought out lush because i brought £65 worth of products but i would just like to defend my case by saying that i was stocking up, as there isn't one back home (and i am refusing to order from the website in defense of moonborn) ;) mmm, their products smell so divine.

x. we scared people off the train platform at Ely by singing Lion King songs (always a good way to get a seat). and we drank hot chocolate in Borders and browsed the foreign magazines and ate hotdogs in Cambridge park and alex nearly got run over by a mad cyclist (but she says he was really nice). they are just everywhere in Cambridge!

x. also we are in love with Stuart Townsend (Queen of the Damned) and the character of Mark in Love Actually and in a minute we are going to watch Heavenly Creatures, which i have wanted to see for ages <3 we wore our faerie wings out yesterday (and got some rather odd looks) and we wear glitter and can i never leave here please?

x. i am going to come back to England and i have an idea that i am thinking about, but perhaps i'll say more about that later on ;) tomorrow we are off to Norwich and then i leave on Sunday night, i can't believe this is almost over (but perhaps something has just begun?)

love to you all dears. xxx
