magazines and stuff

argh... my back hurts. i've been making christmas cards this afternoon and watching mean girls and the extended version of return of the king. 4 hours of legolas & hobbit-love. hurrah. tomorrow is the collaged box for kristy's present, i keep putting it off because i think it will be the most complicated of all the things i've made lately; although i think i've found a way to simplify it a little. 2 weeks until christmas, isn't that the strangest thing?

i feel like working on some collages (other than the box i'm doing) and mail art. i want to make altered books and art journals; i found some great plain journals at this cheap $2-type shop called Neds Emporium that i think i can alter and stuff, and i can't wait to give it a try. i read so many papercraft magazines and they inspire & excite me, but the weekends always go so quickly. perhaps i shouldn't spend so much time reading my friends page on lj, but oh, you guys are addicting :P

wouldn't it be amazing to have a job where you could do this sort of stuff ALL the time ? i shall keep dreaming.

i need to stop spending money if i want to go to New Zealand next month. i think i'll book my flight next week ^_^ and then i'll hide my credit card for the next 5 weeks.
