when technology meets the untechnological

i have been having a complete introduce-people-tp-technology-things today at work so far :D showing the 3 women who sit around me the wonders of deviantart and some of the amazing photo manipulations done by this amazing artist... they were impressed by her work, as am i ! i thought i was going to be in trouble for printing off some pictures on the laser colour printer here at work, but then lois showed me the ones that she had just printed off too... so i don't feel so bad now ;) as lois is the one who orders all the stationary etc. then one of the other motor claims officers, whom i taught months ago how to use yahoo to search for things on the internet, was showing our other motor claims officer how to do the same thing... she loves it and uses it all the time to find things now. *grins* hurrah, my teachings have had some effect! oh, amusement.

time is going very slowly, however. i accidently asked one of our south australian assessors to assess a vehicle that was in... victoria. oops, hurrah for not paying attention to claim forms :P luckily he was ultra-nice about it and able to do it anyway, thanks to the wonders of photographs and other things. so i don't feel quite so stupid, but i better start concentrating more. wait. this is not a good start...

but i have tomorrow off, and i'm so excited about that. at this rate, i'm going to be finished with winterspark 2 within the next week or so, although i'm not so good at staying focussed on things for long periods of time. i'm currently fighting the urge to buy magazines at lunchtime (i haven't brought one this year so far, and that's impressive for someone who's been buying them at a rate of 1 per week since she got back from overseas... way to go saving, jade), and thinking i should probably do more work now. everyone else around me today seems just as distracted and doing non-work things as i, and somehow, that's not the greatest motivator. ha.

i should really stop updating when i don't have anything much to say, shouldn't i? ;)
