FUCK {email problems}

So, I couldn't access my webmail at work (jade @, and it turns out it was our Internet cafe server that was the problem because Dad was having the same trouble with his and some other sites. So I decided to make my email account into a forwarding account, forwarding it to my hotmail account which I could access.

And then, because I am a fucking idiot, after I added the settings in the control panel, I DELETED MY IMAP ACCOUNT so I wouldn't receive everything twice.

Too bad that meant I deleted every single email in that account, including 120 unread ones (mostly LJ comments so if I never reply to your comment, that's now why), and 230 saved emails. All my addresses, contacts, mailing lists etc... deleted. Yes, I am an idiot.

I am trying to download the backup file from the control panel but being on dialup (grr) means it's taking forever and probably won't even completely download. I've set an email to the owner of my webhosting server begging for her help... but is it just a lost cause? Did clicking on that "delete email account" link permanently delete all the emails I had kept in there? Since I've been travelling, I hadn't downloaded anything onto my laptop since before I left. I'd been accessing it all via the web.

I am so upset right now. All the email addresses for friends I made overseas, all the beautiful emails saved from my friends and love. All those unread emails.

Excuse me while I scream right now.

If anyone knows of a way to get it all back, please let me know????
