so.

I've decided I want to learn how to sew. Bags, especially.

So... where do I begin?

*goes off to research*

mainly tote bags to start with, i think, then purses. i was just thinking how i can never find the EXACT bag that i want, that all my bags are just right EXCEPT for something... so i figured i'd try and make my own :)

Me too.
I was going to learn through my school's Knitting Club.
Then, they stopped that.

Hi! Off topic, but I found you through embodiment and decided to add you to my flist :) You are more than welcome to add me back. And then I discovered that you're friends with starlakitty too!

If you have access to a sewing machine, the making of a bag should be pretty easy when you've figured out what you want in one. My advice would be to not start right away on "the bag" that you'll ultimately want, but make a few small things to start out with.

Yes try Craftster!

I did a basic sewing course at Spotlight however we just made a skirt, which I don't think taugh tme much because I had no clue what I was doing... >_<

So since then I've just been following tutorials online like on Craftster and blogs, I think that's a good way to start ;)
