Noel says I am a corporate gypsie, and I like the way that sounds. This is good practice for London; I haven't started a new job in 3 years (my dad's business doesn't count, and before that I was at Zurich for 2 1/2 years, where I gained familiarity and a strange sense of security), so this is breaking down my fears of walking into a new office, not knowing anyone, not knowing where anything is. I kept taking wrong turns in the office yesterday and getting lost, and I learnt to just laugh it off. I suspect I'll be doing a lot of that in the weeks to come. For someone who is very used to being in her comfort zone, it's not a bad thing to push myself to try new things, be in new situations and places. Meeting new people and wearing my corporate face again.
I have been photocopying and scanning in documents to take with me to London, bureaucratic paperwork that I'm trying not to let overwhelm me. Feeling organised is my best defense when it comes to staying sane, especially when I'm in the process of moving overseas.
