"change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time"
I am wayyy too excited about Marissa coming down tomorrow & the US election results to study anymore for my exam on Wednesday :-X

mottledpigeon shared this link on Facebook, and I love it so, so much: Barack Obama: a pictorial journey.

I am so hopeful about this election, and the message it will send out to the world.

I wouldn't get too excited, you do know there is still a large chance McCain will win? I'm from the South, trust me! A loooot of Republicans and racists hiding in the woodworks there.

Thanks for posting that picspam I'll have to pass the link on!

*nod* I am trying to be restrained in my excitement, knowing that anything really could happen and an Obama victory isn't a given. I'm definitely hopeful though :) &probably not as restrained as I should be lol.

its very odd. I drove in the city the other day and there were obama signs and shirts everywhere, then i went out of the city like..maybe 5 mins drive into a more rural area to check out a rec center i hadnt been too...tons of mccain signs my whole way there. it was so odd

I think I am just anxious for the election to be over. I have grown tired of everyone bashing each other for what they will vote for/believe in. I think this election has brought the worst out in everyone.

Thanks for the picture entry link!

I am getting very nervous for the election. I voted absentee a few weeks ago because I go to college in a different state. Both states (Massachusetts, where I live, and Vermont, where I go to school) are strongly for Obama. I go to one of the most liberal colleges in the country, and the student body is pretty much an Obama fan club. I don't know anyone who supports McCain, so it's weird to think that McCain has a chance of winning. I don't know what I would do.

Obama means an unbelievable amount to American youth. I think a McCain victory would crush a really promising trend of youth engagement and hope, as well as being a disaster for foreign policy, the economy, education, and health care. But luckily, I think it's likely that Obama will win. It's just not certain enough for me to feel at ease.
