"thanks for today ; your smile goes a long way"

I was participating in a cd swap on the BPAL forums, and a wonderful girl sent me a decant of ho ho ho - one of the Lab's latest holiday scents, that was only available during their Will-Call in December (their once-a-month "open store" event). I had been secretly longing for this scent ever since reading the description, but being very limited, it was in great demand so I didn't think I would ever get a chance to smell it, let alone own a decant of it. I was so touched that she sent it to me.

Last night I went out to dinner with two of my girlfriends; it had been nearly 3 months since I last saw them, and we vowed not to let it go so long before our next catchup. It's so hard sometimes, trying to find the balance between everything else in life, but I remembered when I was sitting with them last night how important those girlfriends are, how I don't want them to slip away like so many others have over time. I must try to remember in the new year: not to be too busy for friends.

We watched Four Holidays last night; and on Friday night, Noel & I saw Twilight. It only gave us a longing for real vampires though, so tomorrow night, we are spending our new years eve watching Dracula, Interview with the Vampire, and Queen of the Damned. Lestat could kick Edward Cullen's ass any day.

I am very grateful & content these days.
